Visual Arts

Objectives:

  • Broaden students' visual sensory, aesthetic, and artistic experiences.
  • Enable students to express their emotions and thoughts through visual art.
  • Develop students' visual cognition, common abilities, and metacognition through appreciation and creation.
  • Expand students' perspectives through exposure to different cultural arts.
  • Cultivate students' situational awareness, cultivation, character, and sense of commitment to the nation, ethnicity, and the world.
    Curriculum features:

    The curriculum incorporates different elements to cater to the needs of students in different grades. In grades 1-3, students create independent projects on different themes to broaden their artistic experiences. In grades 4-6, students learn through unit teaching to deepen their understanding of the curriculum. Additionally, to complement the school's STEAM discovery, the curriculum includes 3D pen creation in grade 4, 3D printing creation in grade 5, and laser cutting creation in grade 6.

      Hong Kong Move On Blockchain NFT x Campus Mural Creation Project:

      To enable students to understand the combination of art and innovative technology and how creativity can become valuable electronic assets, our school participated in the "Hong Kong Move On Blockchain NFT x Campus Mural Creation Project" organized by NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited. Here is our NFT mural animation version for everyone to enjoy.

        Our school's woodblock painting class participated in the "Blue Sky and Greenery in Hong Kong" 2019 Hong Kong School Board Painting Design Competition held by the North District Bird-and-Flower-Insect-Fish Exhibition in December this year.

        Our school's woodblock painting class participated in the "Blue Sky and Greenery in Hong Kong" 2018 Hong Kong School Board Painting Design Competition held by the North District Bird-and-Flower-Insect-Fish Exhibition in November and won the runner-up in the primary school group. The winning students include Jian Yan, Ouyang Yuhang, Huang Jiacheng, Chen Rui, and Ouyang Yuxuan.
