Retirement of Principal Liu Ngan Lai. Ms Li Shuk Yin succeeded as the school principal. |
2005 |
Registration of the school's Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) on 31st August. Our school's IMC was one of the first group of IMCs established in Hong Kong. Our school was renamed as Fung Kai No. 2 Primary School on the same day. We temperately shared the school premises with Fung Kai No.1 Primary School (formerly known as Fung Kai Primary School – AM). Our Primary 1 classes turned into the whole-day mode in this academic year. |
2006 |
Granted 90 million by the Hong Kong SAR government, a millennium premises was approved to our school. Primary 1 and 2 classes used Fung Kai No.2 Secondary School premises temperately, known as Fung Kai No.2 Primary School junior session. Primary 3 to 6 classes temperately used Fung Kai No.1 Primary School premises, known as Fung Kai No. 2 Primary School senior session. Construction of our new school premises at 19A Jockey Club Road, Sheung Shui was launched on 17th October. |
2007 |
Appointed as one of the twelve world-wide Innovative Schools in the Microsoft Innovative Schools Project on 1st February. We were honorably the only Asian school in the project. Our School-based E-curriculum project was launched. |
2008 |
Officially renamed as Fung Kai Innovative School on 1st September. The whole-school turned into a whole-day mode in 2008-2009 academic year. We officially moved to the new school premises in 19A Jockey Club Road, Sheung Shui on 28th November. The legend of 21st century innovative education began in our school. |
2009 |
The new school premises opening ceremony was held on 20th May. |
2011 |
Successfully granted 5.15 million from EDB in the E-learning Project to promote the implementation of information technology in education. With our excellent teaching plans, we use the 'student based learning' as the core of the teaching and learning pedagogy. Our curriculum includes 'interactive classroom', 'E-textbook', 'innovative teaching and learning' and 'quality cultivation'. With the implementation of information technology in education, we aim to develop pupils' communication, creativity, problem solving skills as well as their self esteem. |
